Former Temptations singer Damon Harris left this world on
February 18, 2013 at the age of 62, as a result of a long battle with prostate
cancer. Mr. Harris sang with the Temptations from 1971 to 1975 as a replacement
for Eddie Kendricks, and is best known for his tenor vocals on “Papa Was a
Rolling Stone”.
Harris later founded The Damon Harris Cancer Foundation, formulated
to promote the awareness, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer.
